In unexpected Chet Hanks news, I’ve become an official Chet-head. How did this happen you ask? Well, you might recall that back in May we began our coverage of the Kendrick Lamar/Drake beef in a post titled Drake Vs. Kendrick Feud Anyone? That enlightening piece of journalism was followed up by a cold reading of a text exchange between Chet and his beloved father — Mr. Tomas Jeffrey Hanks. That text exchange started with Tom reaching out to his son for clarity on the Kendrick/Drake beef —

Big Main, can you explain the Drake/Kendrick Lamar feud to me?

Chet jumped at the chance to get his father up to speed and broke down the beef in great detail. He even used a hypothetical scenario from Tom’s own life to highlight the severity of the situation. To which Tom Hanks responded —

Anyhoo, a mere three months later and Chet is back in my life and this time it’s via The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets on MTV. The last time I dropped in on The Surreal Life was back in 2004. It was the season that featured stars like: Charo, Dave Coulier, Jordon Knight and of course Bridgette Nielsen and Flavor Flav. An iconic pair if ever there was. How those two crazy kids didn’t stand the test of time is beyond me.

20 years later and Chet has wrangled me back into a life that's surreal. The rags were saying that he and castmate, former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Kim Zolciak were falling for each other. Could they be Flavor-n-Neilsen 2.0? Not sure but I needed to find out.
