It’s time we talk about Salish. Who? Exactly!
This month the state police were called in to manage the crowd at her product launch.
But first, how great was Jimmy Kimmel’s return last night? If you missed his opening monologue, give it a watch. Of course the thing he says that rings very true is:
“This show is not important. What’s important is that we get to live in a country that allows us to have a show like this.”
Amen! Also, he points out that his suspension showed us that there is a middle ground between the right and left - we all like free speech:
“Maybe most of all, I want to thank the people who don’t support my show and what I believe, but support my right to share those beliefs anyway. People I never would have imagined, like Ben Shapiro, Clay Travis, Candace Owens, Mitch McConnell, Rand Paul. Even my old pal Ted Cruz … Even though I don’t agree with many of those people on most subjects — some of the things they say even make me want to throw up — it takes courage for them to speak out against this administration, and they did, and they deserve credit for it.”
Plus, did you know it’s ‘Sit at the bar September’? I want to give this movement a shoutout before the month is over! Started by elder influencer, RHONY real estate agent, and self-proclaimed icon Laurie Cooper, she is urging people to ditch the dating apps, and go sit at the bar this September to meet someone.
Maybe you are single and looking to mingle or maybe you are just craving community or connection — but head your tush over to a bar and have a fine mocktail or cocktail and don’t be afraid to say hi to your stool-mates. Could you imagine if you happen to sit next to Laurie Cooper? Shivers!
Also, the term struggle meal has been trending on Google. A struggle meal is a term for a cheap meal made with limited ingredients, often prepared when money is tight. Mine is definitely rice and beans. What is your struggle meal?
Now, let’s get to Salish.
