Is it 106 in Los Angeles today? It is! Are we gonna do a deep dive into fall sweaters? We sure are!
September and often October are typically the hottest Los Angeles months. After Gray May and June Gloom summer finally ramps up in July and August and then juuuuust when the pumpkin spice lands, and your local pharmacy is like HALLOWEEN BRUH, Los Angeles does a hot rod drift into the triple digits to keep things real.
But since it’s back to school and fall is probably coming sometime again before we all melt, let’s take a peep at what TikTok is telling us is “hot” this fall.
First, a shoutout to the nails Emily’s 12-year-old niece got for back to school!
Acrylics? Check. French tips? Check. Baby blue bows? Check — and don’t mind if we do!
Also, as we were deep diving for fit tips, we came across a beauty suggestion for your acne. Trigger warning: garlic. The people are saying to consume lots of raw garlic daily OR simply rub raw garlic directly onto your pimples to improve your breakouts.
Not sure if either do a dang thing - in fact probably not. Could you imagine eating this much raw garlic? You would definitely smell, right?
Love that acne has been with us for so long and has industry behind it and here’s TikTok just trying to nonsense the puss out of our pores! All of this is to say — everything on TikTok with a grain of salt (not a clove of garlic).
Back to the FASHUN.
The color of fall is oxblood!
Go grab a bag, jacket or boot in oxblood immediately. It’s an emergency.
Don’t you just want to sling an oxblood colored bag over your shoulder and head out to the coziest bistro you can find? Order the braised short ribs, pair it with a glass of pinot noir and discuss the meaning of life. This color is the definition of fall. It’s warm, rich and just a little bit dangerous.
