This week was 🔥 — mostly cause, on a personal note we launched this here fresh substack (!!!), Deanna was guest hosting on Radio Andy’s Reality Checked ALL WEEK long, and Emily was sent a new mustard from a friend that was promised to be life changing and it is -- reveal below. Plus, Deanna and Emily did a super fun photoshoot. Pics to come. (No, they are not nudes. But we probably should have gotten some feet pics for a future Only Fans account. Missed opportunity!)
But now for more worldly news, here are some things that caught our eyeballs this week. Do we care? Do you?
Miley Cyrus dropped her latest album “Flowers” in March of this year, but this week in Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Belgium there are suddenly posters all over town with pics of Miley paired with lyrics from some of her bangers, as well as a tease to a new song that will drop on August 25th called, “Used to Be Young.” Last we checked Miley is a sweet tiny baby 30, BUT M’KAY!
22-year-old actress Rachel Zegler has been cast to play Snow White in Disney’s latest remake, but this week TikTok has been taking issue with Rachel being quite vocal about not liking the original 1937 movie. Rachel said in an interview of the original that it scared her as a child and in her words, “There’s a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her.” Also, lets not forget that the story revolves around “the fairest of them all,” which Rachel shares is now about the most just. Many Disney remakes have updated the original tales - like Ariel saving Prince Eric from Ursula in the latest Little Mermaid, instead of vice versa. So what is wrong with a modern day lady not liking something that was made a gazillion years ago? People on all sides of every coin are BENT about this. Rachel has a lot of PR people’s undies in a bunch this week and, frankly, we’re not mad at it.
Judges side with young activists in a climate change trial which found that the state of Montana violated kids’ rights by ignoring global warming. This is particularly interesting in Montana, which ranks 6th in coal production and is a very fossil-fuel friendly state. Let’s keep that sky big!
The youths, aged five to 22, did not seek a payout following a win but wanted defendants to 'bring the state energy system into constitutional compliance.'
While we are on the children, Illinois has just passed the very first law protecting child social media influencers. The law entitles children under 16 to a percentage of earnings that they make from online appearances. Much like the Coogan Law that protects child actors in California, the state of Illinois shares that minors earnings must be held in a trust, which will protect the funds until they are 18. Seems like a win-win for the famous children of the internet who reside in the prairie state!
Last but certainly not least…
Really WTF Tho
Actress Taryn Manning admits that she’s in love with a married man, wants to buy him a boat, and she licks his butthole? Then threatens his wife. Not great. Sis, are you okay?
As a side note, earlier this month Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that he is getting divorced. If you are single, looking to mingle and a trusty Canuck you better be GETTING yourself READY. And finally, the mustard.
That mustard is delicious! Also I love the young climate activists in Montana!
I had not heard of any of these stories. Thank you for keeping ME young!
