Did you go to prom? Did you wear a Jessica McClintock gown and get picked up in a limo with a corsage on your wrist and a smile on your face? (Emily’s school didn’t have prom, but she’s not bitter. At all. Not a touch. She’s FINE!).
Do you remember how your prom date asked you to the dance? Chances are there was an awkward hallway exchange, a note passed in class. Maybe you went with friends. Or you had a BF so duhhhh you had a date - no official question popped. But what you didn’t have? A promposal!
Thanks to social media, youths these days are KICKING it UP a NOTCH. Put #promposal into Tiktok and clear the rest of your night, cause what in the actual high school cuteness is going on with these public displays of prom invites?

What would you have done if this was how someone asked you to prom? So much pressure. They set the bar real high! What happens when these teens start proposing marriage, landing dream jobs, or getting colonoscopies?

You can read about it here.Also, a bit of a shocker to us was learning that apparently the prom evening gowns of yore are being replaced with … brunch dresses? Lighter, more playful and more, welp, daytime by nature. According to explainers of this trend - it puts more of a focus on comfort and individuality.
So, with that in mind — this is a pic of us at brunch with our friend Lea. But it might as well have been Prom. Emily can rest easy now.
