Last year, I popped into the SJP brick-and-mortar on Bleecker Street in Manhattan. I wanted to get eyes on it and possibly catch a glimpse of our gal. I remember hearing SJP refer to it as a jewel-box shop and it was truly just that. A teeny-tiny, gorgeous little store filled with colorful heels that my high arches admired from a distance. Reports claim the store closed its doors on August 25th.

Part of what makes this sad is that you just know she did everything her 5’3-self could think of to make the business work. I believe she was at the location one day a week welcoming-in customers and fitting a heel on a foot! A ten year run is no small feat, (or foot) ultimately a success.

Are people buying high heels? Heels don’t feel like the moment though do they? Post-pandy we really have moved into a more comfortable: flats, boot, loafer area.

Last week SJP posted on her instagram that all shoes were going for $100 a pair (usually $345-$550) on SJPbysarahjessicaparker.com. Curious if any stock was left I took a swing by the site and was met with this:
