A youth with their boots on the ground came to us and said: “I stumbled upon a 'top ten' "brainrot tiktok" word list with their definitions.. I'm going to send it to you.” This felt both thrilling and like he was a posing a challenge. Essentially, we heard it like: Do you old broads know these top ten terms? This is when we throw on our gloves and start shadowboxing, prepared to spar for our place in the rink.
When the list came through, it was a true fine wine BLEND. Like taking a peep we were hit with top notes of confidence and knowing, an earthiness of been there and covered that, but also to our surprise there was a full-bodied zesty freshness, almost a zing of new terms hitting our palates!
To be clear, not only did we not know the definition of some of these terms — we had not even heard them before. And we LOVE when this happens.
