After talking a big game on the podstack about trying oatzempic (no, not a typo), I visited several grocery stores but somehow oats and limes never made it to cart. But this Monday I finally did it — cause what girl doesn’t want to start her week off right?
What is a oatzempic? Here’s a quick recap. TikTok is trying to make the cutely named oat smoothie trend happen. It has zero affiliation with the weight loss drug Ozempic, but fans of the smoothie do claim it will help you on your weight loss journey. I decided to try it to see if oatzembic has any legs — and by try I mean just once. :)
I took a 1/2 cup of oats and a cup of water and put them in my Vitamix, and blended. I let the machine rip for a few minutes and tbh it didn’t look that blended.
Then I squeezed a lime over it and blended again. It looked not blended and also … frothy.
And I drank it. I thought the combination of the lime with the oats sounded gross, but surprisingly the lime was the least of my issues with the drink! The biggest thing for me was its drinkability. I had a real problem trying to get the oat pieces in my mouth - a lot were left in the bottom of the blender and even more in the glass.
People claim the 140-calorie drink is supposed to help you feel full, so I drank it in the morning after my workout. I finished the drink by 9am, and when 10:20am rolled around I was hungry again, so I ate a bagel.
Should YOU try it? I personally would have enjoyed a bowl of warm oatmeal and a glass of water with a splash of lime more. But you do you!
Oatzempic did jumpstart something in me that is definitely not my metabolism. Now, I’m on a trying spree!
A breakfast I will try? Cottage cheese! I love how TikTok is giving cottage cheese a much needed makeover. It’s filling and packed with protein. Obviously, some people on the tok are taking things to the next level by making cottage cheese ice cream, bacon, avocado and tomato cottage cheese bowls, and even adding mustard to a blob of cottage cheese. I’m not entirely sure the woman in this video isn’t absolutely bonkers, but life is for living, you know?

Personally, I’m gonna take cottage cheese on a first date by putting it on toast with a little avocado. Next date I’ll be adding it to scrambled eggs. We’re gonna take it real slow before I start haphazardly throwing condiments around.
Cottage cheese definitely seems to bring up a lot of feelings in people. Where are you with the small curd soft cheese?
I want to try more THINGS! Next up after cottage cheese?
So glad you asked! …
