It’s FRIDAY and we are soooo close to having the people of the world stop expecting things from us.
It’s been hectic out there! And if you listened to the recent pod you’ll know December is trying to take me out. In addition to our collective heartbreak with continuing world events lets add work ramping up in order to take time off, and my daughter’s school with 18 different performances, and I am dizzy! Then tack on mercury retrograde tech issues, which left me mysteriously locked out my computer for 16 hours, a flat tire, fielding a parenting meltdown from my brother (dad of a tween) and I am ready to call this month done! (More on the sibling meltdown to come.)
Here is my personal vision board wish for all of us this evening. I just want us to put on Enya’s Orinoco Flow, or a sweet Kenny G sax-forward track, watch a yule log on our TVs, and muster up some relax. Of course if you’re fancy enough to have a real fire, you do you.
In the past week, Netflix’s algorithm suggested a show called “My Life with the Walter Boys.” It was billed as teen drama with this logline: “When a tragedy disrupts her life, a teenager moves in with her guardian's big family in a small town and learns lessons about love, hope and friendship.” While I have doubts about Netflixs’ algo, I decided I should check it out for Less Old research. Here’s what I learned:
