Labubu Mania
Seems like the Labubu fever just gets crazier and crazier! Weirdly, this strange plushy little monster was created in 2015 but didn’t hit hard until this year. Why now? Well, it might have something to do with a Teen Vogue interview when Lisa, from Blackpink and “White Lotus” fame, was quoted saying “Labubu is my baby”.
Part of the “fun” of buying a Labubu is that it’s a “blind-box” meaning you don’t know what kind of Labubu you are going to get until you rip them out of the packaging. Of course some Labubu are more coveted than others so that just has the people buying more in the hopes of getting the — right one.
