I get so many breaking news alerts on my phone and some of them indeed are NOT breaking news. One story I wish had blown up my cellular is when at a recent U.S. Open match Vogue queen Anna Wintour told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager to “quiet down” in the stands. She shushed them. I mean, of course she did.
Wait, isn’t tennis one of those quiet sports where you aren’t allowed to talk, let alone yell during matches? But also, no one is louder than those two! Quiet spaces and their gift for gab simply do not mix!
I absolutely love the idea that Anna was settled in and trying to enjoy the match, but was unable to focus because two gals were being loud — so she told them to quiet down.
A lot of people could ask me to be quiet and I wouldn’t give it another thought, but if Anna Wintour shushed me, I would feel like I was in serious trouble.
This incredible story has given me inspiration to break down two important terms.
But first —
A headline caught my eyeballs and has been swirling around my head in a half-perimenopause vertigo meets fever dream. Ready? Okay! Here it is: Adam Sandler’s style spawns explosion of long shorts and jorts at NYFW.
Let me see if I have this straight — Is it all about Adam Sandler chic this fall? Loose-fitting JORTS (jean shorts) and long baggy shorts are running all over New York Fashion Week?
